SOCIETY OF MANUFACTURING ENGINEERS (SME) CHAPTER #107 Chair selected to serve on the national 2005 Chapter Enhancement Subcommittee. – Chapter 107 elects Board Members for 2005.

                                         

 

Knoxville, TN – 12/9/04:  Chair of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers Chapter 107, Ralton B. Emory of Ten Mile, TN, has been selected to serve as a member of the 2005 Chapter Enhancement Subcommittee.  The Chapter Enhancement Subcommittee was established as part of the Member Engagement Initiative that SME adopted nationally in 2004.

 

According to the email notification sent to Emory by Ron Harrelson, Chairman of the Member Council, Emory was selected based on his “experience, proven ability to get SME’s work done on time and in a professional manner, and the ability to achieve consensus as a team member.”

 

Emory’s term as a member of the Subcommittee will begin in January of 2005.

 

On December 7th, SME Greater Smoky Mountain Chapter 107 elected the members of the 2005 Chapter Executive Board.  In a vote of attending chapter members, the following positions were selected:

 

Chair/Public Relations:  Ralton B. Emory, Denso Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc.

Chair-Elect/Recruitment:  Robert Williams, Denso Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc.

Secretary/Retention:  Brian Koozer, Denso Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc.

Fund-Raising:  Sam Jones, PowerSource Technologies, Inc.

Program Coordinator:  Johnny Crowell, Livingston and Haven

Treasurer:  Kerri Stichler, Denso Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc.

Communications:  Lynne Murr, TWI, Inc.

Certification/Education:  Garret Hendrix, Hendrix Engineering, Inc.

 

 

 “We expanded our Board to reach out to the areas of the manufacturing community that we were under-serving,” Emory states.  “Our goal is to be a vital part of the manufacturing growth that we foresee will happen in our area.  As a chapter, we will be providing more value to our membership and the entire industrial and economic community.”

 

SME Greater Smoky Mountain Chapter #107, with 130+ members in greater east Tennessee area, was founded in 1953.
